OPTICS PLANET ISSUE

It's not the shipping company, it's Optics Planet.
They print the shipping label that day, but don't send the package out for
pickup for days.
I tracked a pkg and that had printed a label for and they said it was the USPS that
didn't scan the package. BS
I called and threatened to cancel the order and magically a scan showed up and
after 5 days the pkg. started to move.
They will feed you a long line of BS
 
I dont doubt others---- but thats not my experience at all. I have made maybe 6-8 purchases in the last 6 months, Including a high dollar scope, and the economy shipping has been great.
 
What I've experienced with OP and purchasing from them is this, IF the item is in stock, it will ship out by the next day without a doubt. You'll get it timely and guaranteed. What often happens is they don't list the item as out of stock. I've had this happen many times with them and each time I send them an email complaining about it asking why they didn't let me know the item wasn't in stock. Recently they seem to be better. I just bought a chronograph from them and they listed it in stock. It was on the road my way by the next day. I think they got away with not publishing items out of stock and people purchased items and wondered when there items would be shipped out. No emails or tracking info. Then once you email them, they simply tell you the item isn't in stock. That's when I cancel the item. I only purchase from them when the item is listed in stock.
 
They have some great prices but they are really poorly managed a run. I found a Red dot last week on their website listed at 3 pretty different prices. Finally got the salesperson to the proper page and bought at the lowest price. Last fall had a rep get very hostile when I tried to get veteran discount on a Vortex GE. Then he lied, obvious he was so stupid, and said they were out of stock. I hung up and called back minutes later and received and bought the in stock scope. I was so angry I did not call back and complain, if it continues they will end up a victim to themselves. They really need some upper management shakeup I think.
 
Gents, here's an update. After contesting the SHIPPING charge with my CC company twice, I was contacted on this website via PM by an Optics Planet representative. He ask what the problem was and I explained the One Day shipping charge with me not receiving the product until 3 days later. He offered to refund the difference between "one day" shipping and "three day" shipping and I told him that would be fine. They refunded the difference to my CC. I called Optics Planet the day after my package didn't come in and talked with a rep on the phone and explained this same issue with him. He said I had no recourse and that was it. It appears this site has enough clout to get them off their backside to do what's right. They could have done that the day I called but it didn't seem to matter to them at the time. They finally did the right thing but they need to update their shipping policies so you know what you're actually getting before you buy when it comes to shipping. Thanks for all the support from this site, you guys are great. I'm gonna update to Gold Status to help support this site in the future. Keep em in the X ring.
