Opinions on Feddersen 10/22 barrels?

I want to replace the factory tapered barrel on my bone stock10/22 for one of the Feddersen 18" tapered barrels. Our club is starting a 100 yard steel silhouette match early next year and I want a better grade of barrel for use in that match. The ammo will be RWS rifle match that I bought cheap from Norma shooting last year. for $6.50 a box.

Any and all opinions are welcome.

I've got 2 of Feddersens barrels but got the 16.5" bull barrel instead. Very accurate barrels, would do again but don't need anymore of these at the moment. LOL

Been considering the same myself as I'm really tired of POI changes with the Magnum Research carbon fiber barrel I have now. It does shoot bugholes, but needs to be zeroed every time I take it out.
Everything I've been able to read ( which is a lot ) about the Feddersen is that they are outstanding products. And the pricing is quite reasonable as well as compared to Kidd or the big V or Clark.

I put together a squirrel rifle with one of their barrels and I'm rather impressed! cleaned an KYL rack at 50 yards..... probably pure luck with a 4X Leupold those hangers are not that big. If I needed another 10/22 barrel I don't think I'd look further than Fedderman, I think you'll like it.

I drove the 70 miles to their shop yesterday and picked up my barrel, an 18" matte taper. I hope it performs as good as it looks.

It was a little tight so I wiped both with a little Lucas gun oil and a couple taps with a small rubber mallet. It fit flush in the receiver and turned to line up the extractor groove. I'll be shooting it later today and will post the results.

UPDATE: Way too much rain today, maybe tomorrow if it warms up enough.

After sighting in using Wolf (SK) match target, I fired 10 rounds at 50 yards using a Harris bi-pod and Protektor rear bag. Sunny day today and a mild wind. I'll move out to 100 next week, weather permitting.
