Ever see Beyer Barrels ?

Our premium-quality aluminum alloy barrels are fully machined to precise, match grade tolerances from exceptionally hard 7075 aluminum. The 7075 aluminum is much stronger than many mild steel alloys and gives all the benefits of a thick barrel and improves the heat distribution for better accuracy. These barrels are light weight ranging from 13-18 ounces - less than half of the weight of traditional steel barrels weighing up to 60 ounces. A custom Beyer Match Chamber is inserted in all barrels.

I looked at some Beyer barrels many years ago in a gun shop in Port Angeles, WA. Makes sense since Beyer is based out of Washington. I was into tricked out 10/22 platform rifles back then and was visiting local gun shops during a family visit. I wasn't a big fan of the dissimilar metal thing either. They also make barrels for AR's and 77/22. I was shooting Kidd, Benchmark, and Shilen barrels back then and was not that impressed with the Beyer barrels I handled.

i bought one of Clint's AR barrels years ago. never had any problems with it and don't have any complaints. it shoots just as good, if not better, than the dedicated .22 all steel AR barrel I got from Kurt at Kurt's Kustom Firearms a few years prior. i'm not sure i would consider a Beyer for benchrest level accuracy, but definitely works as an accurate plinker.
