If that is a Remington "Sporter" stock, a #5 Shilen contour will max it out.
It is...so it won’t work?

If you are still wondering about this, I have one of those ADL sporter stocks that I opened up the barrel channel for a Remington Varmint contour. I can take a picture of it when I get home.I think you are correct, a #7 Light Varmint or a Sendero contour. Any more than that and you'll have sharp edges at the barrel channel.

thats a neat service! You could buy your bottom metal from CDI and get the inletting done for free. I've used this service from Jeff and Pam at CDI and couldn't be happier.

The barrel pictured is a Pac-Nor in Remington Varmint Contour. The top edges adjacent to the barrel channel are about .100 wide and it's not hard to look at. I filled in the magazine recess when I bedded a Stiller Predator in single shot.Yes please, that would be great!
Sure, I had clearance with the Remington Varmint Contour. I'm not sure how a straight taper LV would look. Light or medium Palma would look good too.@Roeder that’s great! Thanks for the picture. I’m doing a light varmint, maybe a sendero, so it should have a little bit more space. Were you able to free float it?
