There was a time, not so long ago, dems and repubs were very much alike. They both said what it took to get elected and one side was a little more right or left of the other, but you could put them all in a bbl, catch one and fry him up and he'd still taste like fish.
This is NO MORE! One side is clearly telling you that they are intent on fundamentally changing America and they have openly told us a lot of their plan. Problem is, we all heard them say these things but this time, they were telling the truth and what they are/were saying is so far out there that I don't think we are HEARING them! One party is openly saying they support socialism/communism and that's what they intend to have in the US. They aren't even hiding it any more!

Voting democrat today is like voting for Stalin! I'm not exaggerating and they, themselves, are openly saying that, just without the name tossed in. I know this forum is not supposed to talk politics but it's high time that we DO talk. It's beyond a laughing matter where we can simply fix a few things here and there in four years. The United States of America is literally on the brink of openly becoming a communist state. No two ways about it and the dems are open about it, for the most part. The difference is they deny it when the timing is wrong. Just listen to what they are actually and very literally saying!!!

Immigration as we know it is about two things....congressional redistricting and tuning Tx BLUE! Yes!---Texas BLUE!! They don't come out and say that yet, but it's obvious that they are blatantly ignoring immigration laws and our borders for a reason. That reason is power and Texas is the only thing left standing between the US and a true as can be socialist nation.

Wake up! The time is here. We can't stand by any longer and it might already be too late.
 
First we had the Covid lockdown tyranny, then the Economic tyranny and the Immigration
tyranny, now they're pushing harder every day for the clepto currency tyranny, it almost seems like they are pushing all of us into the DNC party.
NO, Not That DNC party, but rather the Do Not Comply party!!

They are coming at every angle, at this point...already. Brazen and not afraid. That IS our enemy. That is the democratic party of TODAY. It's nothing at all like it was, even when Obama took office but has been on the same path ever since. The trajectory is what has changed. Trump got in the way when Hillary was supposed to be a "lock" to win. They got behind but behind what? That's the real question here....and who's really driving the ship.

We're way beyond stupidity, incompetence and coincidence. Whatever they are doing, they are brazen and they are no longer hiding an obscure end game but it's very clear and in the open that dems hate our constitution and capitalism.

There has to be a bigger end game than just a greener environment. They could give two shats about that, frankly. But bankrupting the country, declaring the US insolvent and going to a world currency where commodities are NOT traded in US DOLLARS any more, might be a big role player in the "green new deal."

FWIW, I came into some money a couple of years ago. Not a lot by some standards by a lot by mine...about $600k. In a nutshell, I secured my home and business, paid off all debt and invested in something I can stand on. Not sure what the future holds. I'm just as broke as ever because I tied most of it up but I feel good about my decision. Of course, even land ownership is on the table to THIS demoncratic party, so who knows.

The only thing the Republicans have done as of late is to make life a living hell for the Trump Presidency. When Obama was "elected" the Republicans gave him almost 100% of everything he wanted. They OWNED the government for the first two years of the Trump Presidency and had the opportunity to roll back the Obama destructive policies and they did nothing. Just like they did the last time they were in control of the government. Now we're going to reward them and send them back to Washington to do what? They don't have balls enough to stand for something that will benefit the nation or roll back anything the Dems have done.
 
Oh, I agree that they are still both very much crooked and power hungry...both sides. The system is broken, as was predicted with democracies long ago. But we are not a democracy..we are a democratic republic, where the rights of the minority are supposed to be protected from the majority. The Repubs are definitely greedy and guilty as well but there is a very distict difference. They both make my nose burn with stinch of corruption. I was NOT a big Trump fan but I will say this. I never, ever doubted his love of country and his policies support that. His mouth is another story and I no longer feel that way about demoncrats...I was brought up a D, btw. They are not the same party...not even close. There was a time when I voted for the person. That is now determined by their party affiliation...as sad as it may be, there are very few decent dems left. Sorry.

All I can say is what I told my staunch Dem father several years ago...I didn't leave the Dem party...they left me!

And You Sir, have hit the nail on the head. The Republican party has too many Cowards that just sit on the fence and poop on the ground. If they would actually do what their constituent's voted them in to do we wouldn't be in this CHAOS. and yes, that's were we are.
 
I think it's possible, even likely from a broader perspective and looking at the events of the last 2 years, that we may be being led into WWIII.
There's a saying that I have heard often enough that says "Those who do not know their history are bound to repeat it".
I ran a crossed this article this article that describes the common patterns and influences
that led us into both WWI and WWII.
If we super impose the situation now in Ukraine and Europe and the U.S. and can see the
common patterns and influences toward this New World Order that has been repeatedly
proposed by our politicians, it becomes clear that there is much more at stake here than
the price of gas at the pump.

The vast majority of the US population is F'in clueless and don' know what is going on. They don't care about any of this unless it directly effects their little inner circle. They sit and watch their little sitcoms and reality shows because they don't know what reality really is.
