it shouldn’t matter what happens to the NRA. The constitution protects firearms not the NRA.

The news really has a gift for misconstruing anything and everything. The NRA has ZERO obligation to respond to any type of shooting. It didn’t involve them, they aren’t elected public officials, and they have no direct responsibility to enforcing laws. A non response is what the NRA should have been doing this entire time.

We will win this war culturally. The more people are educated, trained, and invited/welcomed to the gun community, the less of an anti gun voting block the US will have. The NRA needs to refocus efforts on community shooting events and training and less on supporting wishy washy scummy politicians.

They need to infiltrate the inner cities and teach kids about firearm ownership and it’s responsibilities. Right now these kids learn about guns from movies, rap, and video. Listen to a rap song from the early 90s to today and there is at least one reference in every song about a “gat” going “bbbrrtt” on some dude. We have cultural issues that lazy morons in these communities, government, and the news refuse to acknowledge. Until that acknowledgement happens we are on a one way train to gun right restrictions.

I swear the most toxic, cancerous thing in our society is 24/7 access to social media and sensationalized news.

That’s what you want!! You want a congress that doesn’t do anything!! The news portrays a congress that isn’t passing laws as inactive or lazy! Think about that for a second. I want congress gridlocked and not passing anything. Who needs or wants more laws and bureaucratic red tape?!

You got a point there bud.

And there’s no such thing as a “free press” anymore, which only makes the (anti)social media thing more effective and disheartening. What passes for main stream media in this age is soundly on the side of gaining market share, which translates to revenue-earning capability.

It’s all about money, always has been.
