One more BRA Fireforming thread!

I hope to pick up a 6BRA barrel soon, but as usual for fireforming (or running barrels in), it will be done while keeping rabbit numbers down. I will likely use 103 Copperheads for full power loads, but will likely use 55gn Vmax for popping bunnies while fire forming. Much more fun than lobbing shots into paper.

Sounds like one of the better ways to run in a new Barrel...good luck with the BRA hope to see you at the Fly Nats in WA next month with it??

A 6BRA in your hands will be a formidable weapon Rod!

Don't be afraid to try and find a solid fire form load. I got mine to drill holes at 200 yards in 5 shot groups while fire forming. Its a good time to find a seating depth for case formed loads.

First time 6BRA'er here, and I am pretty impressed.

My FF load:
- Lapua 6BR brass
- CCI BR4's
- 29.5 grains H4895
- Berger 105 Hybrids seated 0.010" off the lands

Produces really small groups, with an average velocity of 2900 fps out of a 28" barrel.

For the field matches I shoot, these FF loads are more than accurate enough to shoot.

I'm really digging this cartridge so far.
