Is anybody using a repeater action for the 338 LM in ELR competition?

I have a Savage single shot, and repeater length OAL leaves the Berger 300 Hybrid bullet base closer to the primer pocket than the case mouth. I had mine throated to set the base at the shoulder/body junction (oal 3.94") and got another 150fps velocity.
