The other day, I read about an “avid jogger” dropping dead of a heart attack. When the Good Lord wants me, I’ll go with a smile on my face!:)

James Fuller Fixx, AKA Jim Fixx, was an American who wrote the 1977 best-selling book The Complete Book of Running. He is credited with helping start America's fitness revolution by popularizing the sport of running and demonstrating the health benefits of regular jogging. He died of a heart attack while jogging at 52 years of age; his genetic predisposition for heart problems and other previous lifestyle factors may have caused his heart attack.

It may have been running that caused it, too.
Maybe it was just poetic justice.

Speaking of.......
I visited relatives in Dallas quite a few times over the years. They float in the “high society” levels. The numbers of gorgeous women I saw was astounding!
I had hopes about enjoying the same scenery in Kerrville. Not so much! Most of these girls are “healthy country girls”. They run in the 200-300 pound range! :( My wife loves it! At 138, she’s considered skinny!

Same here. Mines 5’6 and 135. And always trying to lose weight. I guess we’ll have to make a pass through Kerrville.

I was walking back from the dry dock to the office talking with Mel. Mel is a Naval reserve full bird Captain. Reserved, soft spoken. Wouldn't say chit if he had a mouthful. Divorce came up. Mel quips: "If they didn't have a freaking reproductive receptacle (he actually used the "C" word), there'd be a bounty on the MoFos." Took me by surprise shall we say.

What the heck is a full bird Captain?

A full-bird colonel is one rank below a one-star general, or brigadier general, and one rank above a lieutenant colonel thats what they call them in the army in the navy they call them captains because they captain a ship

Still a valid question... by definition a Navy and Coast Guard Captains are allways “full bird”. It’s the other services with their “light Colonel” that need the “full bird” descriptor....
