That’s not the norm, you have got by lucky. I think I have thrown most of my neck dies away with the exception of a few Lee Collet dies and I use a body die in conjunction with themOf all the once fired brass I've collected it chambers in my rifles and never needed to resize any of it.
I just neck size and shoot them.
FL sizing is further down the track......
Had a problem with 6.5BR brass.Once you find the right lube, make sure to let it sit in the die for a five count before lowering the ram.
RemarkableOf all the once fired brass I've collected it chambers in my rifles and never needed to resize any of it.

That semis are now banned and their traditionally sloppy chambers no doubt provides a better class of once fired brass here.Remarkable

Not at all. They are a bunch of PC twits as semis have a valid use for vermin control and in 3 gun comps.Wow, attempting to somehow rationalize the government screwing you is good because you now are getting better range pickup brass.
What do you mean they look beat up after sizing?… you never did answer what these one time fired brass was fired in?Did the FL then the SB without the expander then the small base again with the expander.
They still looked pretty banged up after all that. But they are properly sized.
Have no idea what they were fired in but my guess is M14What do you mean they look beat up after sizing?… you never did answer what these one time fired brass was fired in?

Was the force needed to size them reduced ? If so, by about how much ? Did you anneal them before trying again ? Did you leave them in the die for more than a few seconds ?Did the FL then the SB without the expander then the small base again with the expander.
