Older Lapua Factory Rounds

Not sure if this belongs in reloading, but seems like the best fit.

I have been offered some, new in the box, Lapua factory ammo in 6mmBR Norma. I have bought Lapua Factory ammo for each of my long range guns so I could shot, get brass and then load a few times and shoot with Wilson dies and an Arbor press in order to get fired cases to Whidden for custom dies.

My question is, these are in 20 round boxes that are Red. All the ones that I have purchased, with the exception of .308, are currently only available in 50 round boxes. They are also 90 grain Scenars and not Scenar-Ls. Does anyone have any idea how old these would be and:
Would they possibly be made form older Gold Box type Brass?
If they were older Gold Box brass, should I stay away from mixing them with the Blue box brass I have?

Thanks

I have a box lot 4316045 I got in 2005 Gold Box. I f that helps,, Tommy Mc..90 gr Scenar

That is the same lot number as these. Are yours in a 20 round or 50 round box? Is the gold brass that much better than Blue Box?

I would think whatever difference there is MAY affect neck tension more than anything. How much? I haven't the foggiest. I usually try and balance out cost and time against my current stage of development/ability.
At my current ability, range time is a far more valuable investment than chasing a half inch at 500 yds. YMileage is yours to decide. If shooting was NASCAR, I'm just trying to keep it out of the wall and trying to pit where my guys are, not those other places where they're wearing the wrong color fire suits..:eek:
;):confused::rolleyes:

180 rounds of these should be on their way to me soon. (Actually to my local dealer as under the New York Safe Act, we can no longer have ammunition shipped directly to us.)

Thanks for the input.

Bob
