Grandpa said during the great depressi0n n0 0ne had any money 0nly a few rich p0eple. All 8 br0thers and sisters had farms and trying t hang 0n and not lose them. Grandpa said his 0ne sister had a trip t0 the local hardware store and green bean seeds was .02 t0 .03 a lbs. he said you couldn't afford t buy it you had t0 save seed for next years garden. She did see 13 /12 gauge pumkin ball slugs for sale. The family scraped together enough money and bought all 13. The only gun he had was an 0ld 12 gauge single barrel s when he got his farm work caught up he would turn the farm 0ver t0 the b0ys and sneak int0 the mountain bef0re day light and slip around threw the w00ds and try t get close t0 any deer he could. He said in 1 year he g0t 12 deer all very cl0se. 1 d0e he missed at 35 yards the l0d 12 gauge wasn't very accurate. He cried when it ran away wagging its tail that's h0w hard times where. He had t0 hide in the w00ds and sneak home after dark s0 he wouldn't get caught and get a fine he couldn't pay and end up losing the farm. Then cut the deer up and sneak some meat t0 all family members t0 help them with meat. Thats why I still reload n0 matter h0w cheap fact0ry amm0 becomes.....
