There will be many that will gaze wishfully at the prices on the powder and primers and bullets…We moved my dad into assisted living. I think some of the old reloading stuff is pretty cool. Hope this does not seem weird, but I might even use some of it as decoration because I remember it growing up. Maybe one of those shadowboxes. The wooden holders for the primers are awesome. CCI 200’s just arrived in short supply in OZ at $26 per hundred….Your post got me to wondering how much things have gone up over the years. I (don't ask me why..) started throwing receipts for components into a file many years ago - mainly to remind myself of what I have paid for certain things and where to look again when needed. Though I usually buy most items at Powder Valley - I sometimes stray elsewhere to good deals when they can be had. I found that I had purchased a LOT of components for some reason back in 2012. Another market tightening back then? Can't remember. Anyway, that got me to comparing what I paid for many brands of bullets like Barnes, Berger, Hornady, Sierra, etc. - as well as powder and primers. Seems Berger Bullets went up the most of all the bullets I looked at (about 60%) while everything else seemed to average somewhere between 25% on low end to around 50% on the high end. Surprisingly, I had paid around $6.50 for CCI 450 primers back then - and about $4.00 for most other primers. Seeing primers on sale these days at prices almost that low - it shows that things really aren't that much worse these days, when taking normal inflation into account. In a few cases, I things are much lower, inflation adjusted - such as rimfire ammo. It makes me want to buy more primers.

I even found some of my dad's invoices and catalogs. I should scan and post themYour post got me to wondering how much things have gone up over the years. Portage has changed a lot since thenOP-- When my dad retired, downsized, and moved to Texas for his golden years, I took his old trapshooting trophies (from Whiting Gun Club, near you) and peeled off the plates from a dozen plus trophies and put them all on a plaque so I could have that to remember him as I aged. Still have the plaque in my gun room. You could do the similar with his old memorabilia. Just my thoughts...
