Old ... really old messages?

Good Lord .... I almost just posted to a message from 2012? Can't this software archive old messages into "gates" or something like that. I would think when we click on "New Posts" that nothing past maybe 3 days old would list? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

You can remove the messages you don't want to save by clicking on "leave conversation" on the upper right side.

New Posts is just that - when you click on New Posts, it only shows current posts. It won't show you something from 2012. Maybe you were doing a search, instead of New Posts.

There's a learning curve to using this site. You're catching on.

The gray dates are like a gray car I once owned. No one can see them that easily. My car got hit 3 times before being totaled.

hah, I just noticed your signup date... yeah, New Posts for you is basically everything from the beginning of time, LOL.

If you click "Mark Forums as Read", you will basically reset your view of "New Posts" and you will only see new threads going forward.

just about every thread you click on will have other threads at the bottom of the page that relate to the thread topic,,and some of those go back in years very quick,,

I think the related threads at the bottom of the screen gets more zombies pulled up than the search function

Thanks for the comebacks guys, I'm getting the hang of it. Don't want to mark all the messages as read, yet, there is a lot of good info in there for this rookie. I have been "lurking" on several other forums, and so far, I think this is by far the best site.

I'll rephrase that, other sites seem to just have more "opinions".

If you perform a search, click the "More" button to get to what would normally be known as "Advanced Search" parameters. You can select a "Newer Than:" date, or at least stack them by most recent if you use the "Order By: Most Recent" to at least get them in date order.
