Old mossberg .22

I gather old guns and use them for winter time projects when it's too cold to be outside. So it's time to start getting things ready for some shop time. I've got this old Mossberg, store brand western field no.45. It's missing some parts on the back end for the safety and I know it's ugly but I can fix that. What I havn't got figured out is the safety. Anybody got one of these that could take a couple of pics for me. I've been to the end of the internet looking for pictures or parts diagrams without any luck. No luck a rimfire central either.

Maybe you've been there, but did you check Gun Parts/Numrich Arms site. Exploded views of many old guns. Could be under Mossberg or Western Field, or something else... maybe even JC Higgins.

That was my first stop. Their a good source for old stuff but they let me down this time

Your Western Field number 45 was sold by Montgomery Ward. Google Western Field no 45 and you will see many photos and parts for sale.

I've pretty much scoured the web in search of parts ,most of the ones I found have a different style of safety. Mine is different than any I've found. There evidently was a production change and mine is the oddball they only made two of .
