I owned a M/S carbine MCA 61 in 7x57, full-length stock of course, double-set triggers, it was in absolutely pristine condition, it was one the most beautiful, easiest handling rifle I ever owned. I ended up selling it because it was just too nice to hunt with and at that time of my life owning multiple firearms was just not a financial option.Any reports of accuracy for the Mannlicher Schoenauer carbines? 1-1/2 moa? 3-4 moa? It'd be a shame if such a classy piece was all show and no go.
Accuracy - I did shoot it a lot though and it would group 3 shots into 1-1/2" to 2" at 100 yards with my best handloads. Certainly not benchrest accuracy but more than adequate for a hunting rifle. In my experience of one if you are expecting benchrest accuracy from one you will lilkely be disappointed, if it is for pride of ownership you will likely be satisfied.
