Ok i dont understand this.. Help for .38spl load....

Ok you guys, from a long term pistolero -- the speed of sound is greater than the speed of these bullets, the result is the sound wave is kicking off the crono, either speed them up or mover much further back from the screens.

lots of experience in this and the stuff bout bullets/powder/crimp etc is a waste of time.

Ok iam standing about 10 feet away...I will try anything at this point...thanks for your reply...

Just a story to help ya feel better. Before I got into rifles, I shot pistol. LOTS of pistol for 15 years. Mostly 38, 357 , 44 special and 44 mag. Last winter, I filled all my 40 and 45 ACP empties.Prolly 4 thousand rounds. I didn't have my 45 seater die down far enough to straighten out the bell. I found out fast on my first time to the range. They wouldn't chamber. I had to run them all thru the press again to fix them. You would think I'd know better.

I spend way to much time on a box of pistol bullets myself I resize , measure cases then drop each one in a Wilson chamber gauge. Then reload measuring each one for coal then drop them each in the chamber gauge again.. But I have never...knock on wood.. Give me a problem on shooting day. I have only been at it for a couple of years and know I waste to much time..

These .38 loads are for my wife and I don't want anything turning her off of shooting. This is her carry gun but I also bought her a Beretta 92 9mm she loves so she's shot a ton of 9mm with me.. Those and .45 I think I got down pretty darn good but this is my first time loading for a revolver.. That why I was shocked to see problems. Iam gonna do some tinkering tonight or hopefully tomorrow.. I just bought her a box of factory .38 to buy me some more time....I really appreciate everyone replys and help...

Ok just an update for others , the light crimp seems to have been the problem... About 5/8 turn on the Lee FCD seemed to be the sweet spot. Complet ignition even dropping the charge to 4.4gr of win. 231 and great accuracy to boot... Thanks guys I learned from you that you can't load for a revolver as you do for an autoloader, crimp wise. The revolver needs a pretty good crimp for proper ignition especially using berry preferred bullets..

Thanks all for taking the time to chime in ,your experience was priceless... And very much appreciated....
