So my question is... for those who are going to shot show..... Can you please stop by and see if they have an actual working prototype? Or is this just a 3D mock up of what they intend to make in the future? Basically, does the Garmin have them scrambling, or have they been working on this iteration for the past years regardless of the Garmin launch?

It has a sight on top. Probably will have the same alignment problems the old Big Orange has. With buttons on the front, it won't be easy to use without tipping it over. I think they're trying to play catch-up.

Especially when the Garmin just works, and with Labadar's ongoing foibles, who would trust them? My Labradar is up for sale, now it's probably worth even less!

Because that was like eight years ago...
Oh yeah’ that’s back when they had I phones with more technology than the Apollo space program and still no one could figure out how to make a small chronograph that wouldn’t miss a shot. They also had eight years to evolve and haven’t made a move until Garmin kicked they’re ass.

Not arguing that part, not even a little. They absolutely dropped the ball in any number of ways. I'm guessing this version may be a matter of "too little too late"

But given that it was, at the time, 1) a friggin' game changer compared to the rest of the field and 2) literally the first generation of its kind... I think that complaining about why the first generation then wasn't what the second gen is now is kind of ridiculous.

Fair enough, not really complaining rather making a point most were probably thinking to themselves. The LR was regarded as the cats meow when it came out.

probably could have gone without the ridiculous comment , no real need for that BS.

That's why I get the feeling that all they have so far is a 3D model of their 'next generation' radar.

I suspect we will find out what is up when people visit them at shot show. But I kind of expect them to have a display with flat panel TVs showing all kinds of marketing animations of this new product, but no actual working versions.

I should add... that I really hope Labradar stays afloat. They did alot for shooting sports with their innovation.

However, competition is very healthy. If garmin ends up with zero competition vs their radar, they are likey to take the 'resting on our laurels' route for product improvements just like Labradar did for 8 years.
