I made a stock this past winter, Kenny Shutt put his touch on it, with a little flake, gold leaf, silver leaf, hand pin stripes, and air brush.

Bc’z painted this stock for me based on a particular P-51 Mustang. He has done amazing work!!!

That's really incredible - on multiple levels. It seems that any commentary on the stock isn't good enough to go with the stock itself. LOL The color scheme of everything comes together so well. Plus the concept of doing a P-51 tribute in a rifle stock is just a fantastic idea.

Lockdown ends tomorrow, and fireforming will start...my latest build is a 284 Shehane, McMillan Kestros ZR stock fitted with a RAD system (which I have tweaked with a custom spring), Borden BRMXD left bolt, right port fully DLC coated action, TriggerTech Diamond Trigger...moving onto the scope, it's a March HM 10-60x56 with MTR-5 reticle sitting in March Gen 3 rings. Taking care of leveling is an LRA electronic level. Barrel is a 32 Bartlein, 4 groove, 8.5 left hand twist in 400MOD steel, fitted with a Dan Bramley tuner. Thanks go out to MattP from LRP Solutions for the fantastic work.

I also get to try my new Rodzilla T-Rex for the first time!

A little bit of wood, fresh from the shop. Stiller Tac 300, Rock Creek 8 twist medium Palma in 6.5x55, Jewell bottom safety, AICS single stack mag, stock in Honduran Mahogany. I put the Sightron 10-50 on for load development, then I’ll find a good hunting scope for it.View attachment 1279947

This rifle belonged to my father whom I lost this year right before my 30th birthday. He was a very frugal man. Aside from heirlooms the only guns he ever owned was an 1100 20ga wing master and this old Savage he bought the year I was born. I’ve decided to send her to Beanland Rifles and have him build me a 6.5x47L using all the original parts minus the factory barrel. I’ve built a lot of guns. Nice guns. But this one is by far going to be my biggest pride and joy.

Barrel shown is just for mock-up to ensure the stock will accommodate a #5 and help visualize the build. Please no Jackass remarks about it
