Long-hunter,

That's a beautiful gun. Maybe the most impressive Savage bench gun I've seen. But that's no ordinary McMillan Edge. It looks like an edge to the trigger guard, then forward of that it looks like an Adamowicz,Kelbly Klub) design. What's the story? Does Kelly McM have something new out there... or did someone do a lot of bondo work??

McMillan Edge:

Sorry, haven't been home for a few days.We did some fiberglass modifying to a McMillan Edge and now love the way it tracks. Thanks for the compliment.

New 6BRX Varmint and Egg Shoot gun. I got this gun used from a friend. It was built by Richard Franklin and was in a maple lam stock. I had Lenoard Baity restock with a Shehane MBR and add his muzzle brake. Looks it is going to shoot very well. Hunting loads 70 BK running 3700 f/s are shooting in the 0.2's at 100. the fire forming loads with 68gr benchrest bullets are run in the high 0.1's.

This is my 'budget' long range rig. Simply put, its a basically factory Remington 700VLS in .243 Winchester with a 1 in 9 twist 26 inch barrel shooting Bergers 95 Gr VLD's over 45 Gr of R-22. All I did to it was a good pillar job with Holland pillars and a great trigger from Jewell. A Leupold 8.5 to 25 VX3 brings M in close. I'm not usually one to brag much at the range but I was lucky to have gotten such a great shooter with minimal work to it. It's capable of groups in the 3 inch range at 900. I have never shot for group out to a grand yet but hope it will shoot as well.

Want a top-notch .223 Remington Varmint load? I harbor several from thousands of trials downrange. COST: no charge, just ask! I tire of people attempting to rip-off fellow-shooters through hording primers through massive, lucky aquisition, and so forth! cliffy

This is a 250 neck 223 match chambered and blueprinted Rem 700 action in a Shehane MBR tracker stock with a paint job by Mike Levallee of Killer Paint Airbrush Studio in Snohomish,Washington.

LV benchrest rifle in 6ppc Smith Clay Spencer. 263neck. Panda RBRP, Spencer barrel, presently), leonard Stock. John Loh front rest. March scope 40 power 1/16 dot. Lots of books, wind flags, fancy reloading gear.I figure I might be competitive in about 20 years. This is a tough discipline to shoot in.

'Tactical' rifle .308 match or 6br 1in7 twist, More barrels coming. S&B scope Mill adjustments. Shoots great, easy to shoot 1 inch at 300 yards all day long.. I'm way better at long range than short range benchrest.
Kelbly grizzly 2 action, Clay Spencer smith, Spencer Barrels, McMillan a5 stock, jewell trig.
