Here is my new F-Open gun: Low boy stock (hydrodipped), Barnard model P action (left hand) with V bedding block, 32" Bartlein 5R 8.5 twist, straight profile, Vortex Golden Eagle in a Spuhr 3001 mount. Chambered in 280AI by Matt Paroz and after 42 rounds through the barrel, I'm liking what I am seeing so far. Load development to come but it seemed to show a nice node using 59.2gr of ADI2217 (about 2830fps with Berger 180vld) but groupings seemed to open up a little at 60gr. Suspect their may be another node around 61gr which may put me up around 2950fps. Barrel may decide to speed up a little too so we'll see.280AI with Golden Eagle.jpg

Below are my 2 F-TR rifles. The first is a trued Remington 700 with a Kreger 1:10 Palma barrel at 30", chambered in 308 Win. with a Jewell Trigger. Chambered and trued by Truman Wilson at Super Stocks in Delta CO. Stock is by Doan Trevor who bedded the action as well. This is my main F-TR rifle. The second is a Savage 11 action with the factory AcuTrigger set as light as possible, a 28" Xcalibur 1:7 bull barrel in 223 Rem. set in a Boyds stock with their adjustable cheek piece. The stock has the blind magazine filled and weight added to come up to 18#. All chambering, pillar bedding and stock work and bedding was by Truman Wilson. This rifle is for F-TR mid range only but it lets me score about the same as the 308 at 600 yds. Ops the pictures are not in the right order. Sorry

This is my 3rd 47. The 47 is the best cartridge ever created! Im not a huge fan of muzzle brakes. I look at them as tools. You use the correct tool for the job. The 47 doesnt need a brake. 308 Winchester and up needs muzzle brakes. I have not shot this rifle yet. Im gonna start out with 123g Scenars and RL15. I also like to shoot the 123g SMK and Varget. The SMK's are much less seating depth sensitive. Very easy to find a load for! Also gonna try the new Berger 130 Hybrids and H4350. 20161217_043148.jpg 20161206_181812.jpg

Rardoin, Born and raised in Indiana, Purdue grad, "Go Drew Breeze", but those are also Purdue's colors. I also root for NO Saints if they are not playing the Broncos. Still my first love is the pathetic Da' Bears. I never could get any affection for the Indy Colts, but now I love Payton Manning. By the way my High School's colors were red and black. Go Jefferson Bronchos. Merry Christmas
