ODD PRIMER FINDINGS TODAY

You are all lucky to get a response. Two years ago I bought a brick of Federal 205M benchrest primers at Cabelas. I loaded some in my 30BR and the gun shot terribly. I got the brick of primers out and to my surprise the sleeves in the box were marked small pistol...small pistol primers in a 1000 pack box marked small rifle match. And yes they matched other federal sp primers I had. I emailed Federal asking for an exchange but never heard a word from them. Well, at least I have almost 1000 small pistol primers....that I don't need! On a 1-10 scale they get my zero for after sales issues service.

And I may get a similar response as well. But, as I mentioned earlier I was able to sort thru and separate the unmarked with a "B" . I will just pretend the unmarked are 200 s and use them for odds & ends loads.

I wouldn’t be surprised for component makers to have more than the usual number of QC issues since everybody is going flat out on production.

Somebody switched them out at Cabelas?

They were on sale for just over $30. Its possible but at the prices then I don't think there would be a lot of incentive to do that. I just don't know.
Right, and then on the other hand I could see switching could have happened if they had been sold per 100 laying out on a shelf in a store but these were in a brick of 1000 that I purchased by mail from Midway as far as I can tell.

I'm thinking u r correct.
I know I am correct!..... there made on the same load lines on the same shift!.... Br4’s are different than 400’s but Br2’s and 200’s are exactly the same!... same cups anvils and priming mix just some batches are more consistent and those get to be Br2’s

You made me look. My recently purchased bricks of BR2's are all marked with the "B". These were the first I've bought that are in the light blue and yellow box. Had to research that too.
