If such bans occur, who will enforce them. Law enforcment and military are gun loving guys like us.

United Nations troops?

Blackwater Worldwide?

Not to rain on your Parade captain Paranoid but the United Nations has no army! What occurs when the United Nations takes a stand in a nation is that it asks member nations to place troops under a single banner the UN and under the Command of UN appointed Cmdrs. from member nations taking part in the action. Meaning that the army of the UN is every member nation that is taking part in the action.

Switzerland gun laws: Every able bodied man must have a government issued firearm and 50 rounds of ammunition in their house.

Now that's goverment thinking!

Welcome to Kalifornia

The Swiss have a militia for a military... However, this being said you don't have to own a gun in home if you trained for non-armed service... The NRA has been misleading people here for decades on this one... I've done the research.

The Sky Is Falling, better known as Chicken Licken, Henny Penny or Chicken Little is an old fable about a chicken,or a hare in early versions) who believes the sky is falling. The phrase, "The sky is falling," has passed into the English language as a common idiom indicating a hysterical or mistaken belief that disaster is imminent. Based on what I'm reading this fable is alive and flourishing right here. All the "hand wringing" in the world and posting your views on a site such as this isn't going to change a thing. It might help you vent your spleen but that's all. Call your Congressmen and Senators and let them know you're going to "work hard to vote them out of office" if they don't see the light! That might get their attention ... but I doubt it. Standby for the Supreme Court decision. I had to vent my spleen too.

That may have been stereotypical to say most law enforcement love guns and might not enforce anti-gun laws.

You are dreaming, bud. Most cops will do nothing to jeopardize those fat pensions they can expect at the end of their "useful" service life. Remember, cops are government employees with all the characteristics that go along with that.

There is a presidential candidate that is solidly pro-gun, pro low taxes, pro less government, and pro more freedom. He is Bob Barr. http://www.bobbarr2008.com/ Unfortunately, there are too many fools who believe we have only a two party system. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. At best, it is a losing strategy. Why vote for evil when you don't have to? Because you think it will split the Republican vote? Well get out there and convince people the Republicans are not worth voting for.

DEMOCRACY = Voting for the lesser of the evils.
LIBERTY = A faint memory because everyone voted for the lesser of the evils...

This is the only post I will make on this thread. I get impatient with people who keep voting for the same old career politicians and expect things to change.

The third time the kid cried wolf, he was`nt lie`in. I don`t post my views much but I will say a big lot of people are truely igrorant about the facts behind the seen. People need to start adding up the theories and start looking at the conspiracy. It goes far beyond gun control. What will you be willing to give to keep your guns. That may be the true question to ask yourself. Real ID will be here next year-WOLF...
