First of all, no matter who is the new president, he,maybe she)cannot unilaterally impose new gun regulations. Legislation must pass muster in congress, and that seems unlikely. Your most important vote will be for US senators and legislators. Do you know where they stand on the Second Amendmant? The NRA will soon publish a list of those elected officials and their positions. Read them and vote accordingly.
However, one issue bothers me a lot. The recent university shootings have been comitted by psychos who have been treated for mental problems. In Illinois and Virginia, the sickos were treated, but those records never reached the national instant check registery. Otherwise, both would have been banned from purchase of any firearm. This is an area which needs to be enforced. This is difficult, since we are dealing with medical privacy. Even prior to commitment, medical professionals should be required by law to report those individuals. When treatment is successfully concluded, the record can be expunged. And why shouldn't a student who has been licensed for concealed carry, be permitted to carry his weapon during classes?

I really don't consider Obama a American citizen . Yea, he was born American, but was raised foreign by foreign parents. Will not salute the flag , I consider saluting the flag same as saluting America).

Hi my name is Robert and i am new to this forum i live here in canada, about gun control its so pathetic up here they will arrest youre dog for protecting you if someone breaks in youre house in the middle of the knight, those darn do gooders in this country are the ones that make me really nervous.
Also the 2 countries that are the closest canada and the united states why is it so hard for us to buy from each other, those dam terrorist screwed up everything. Hell god forgive me if i have a merry christmas, woops did i say christmas.
I hope you fellows can do a better than we have, ps hide those guns, we may have to help each other out in the future, i know that sounds bad, but im not muslim or a terrorist, and i like christmas. Ill keep quiet know.

Speaking of do gooders, in this country,New Zealand) there is a law that was passed last year forbidding parents to discipline their children by spanking.
The way this country is headed makes me sick. If we kill an intruder threatening violence in our home we get punished. The laws for criminals are so light is pathetic. Why, criminals even got tax payer compensation because they had been held in Police cells for too long, instead of prison cells - go figure!
And while we are on the subject of Muslims, what really ticks me off are how we have to treat them like they need to be wrapped up in cotton wool so they don't get offended. And how they think they have some god given right to be in someones country for 5 seconds and people born in that country have to pander to their religious rules.
