Obama or Clinton both bad news for gun owners!

I've been following what little there is about each of their views on gun control and it looks bad any way you stack it.
I would say that if a Democrat is elected, and in this case Obama will be worse than Clinton that the following will happen within the next four years.

All assault type weapons will be banned including AR 15's, tactical shotguns, etc.

All 50 BMG and 408 Chey Tac's will be banned

All semi automatics will be banned including hand guns, rifles, and shotguns. The media loves to zero in on Glocks used in shootings, so they will be the first on the list.

All Sniper type rifles which could include anything with a tactical type scope.

Micro engraving of all bullets will become mandatory, including those for hand loading driving the prices through the roof.

Confiscation of all of the above will be next on the agenda.

That may have been stereotypical to say most law enforcement love guns and might not enforce anti-gun laws. But where I come from is a rural area people shooting guns is a way of life and hunting is too.

Big city cops might have a different perspective, where people hunt other people.

The second amendment debate is currently in the supreme court. The court began proceedings last week.

Since I currently live in California gun rights are always on my mind. I'm building a house in NV and will be moving there in late 2009. For the moment gun laws are pretty relaxed. You can still walk in and buy a handgun without a waiting period.
In Late 2006, I started buying guns, two or more per month. California has a law that says's you can only buy 5 hand guns per year, I've already limited out for 2008.

Last month I started hand-loading, I've bought thousands of rounds of brass, bullets, primers and boxed ammunition.
I refuse to be one of those Americans that wakes up one day to find out firearms are illegal to purchase.

I believe the government would enforce the new laws by letting those that purchased firearms legally have the right to keep them. When you die, the firearms would be confiscated and your family would lose any rights to inherit them.

That would save any upheaval from those of us that wouldn't give up our guns, no matter what decision these idiots come up with.

One look at our brother and sisters in England without gun rights and now living with populations of Muslims that migrated and want to kill everyone.

If you don't think these politically correct idiots will allow
us to fall into the very same trap, your kidding yourself.


Now is the time to buy firearms, not after the courts make a decision.

Most LE will enforce whatever law there is. They have to regardless if they agree or disagree. If it came down to confiscation you would have the military or National Guard parked in your driveway with enough firepower to take them if you resisted.
You are on your own if that happens. You better hide them, and not on your property because if you do and they find them they will take your home and everything in it and throw your sorry ass in jail. You'll lose much more than just your guns.
The storms coming boys and girls so you better make your plans now.

I have my doubts about mccain also' I guess he's the lesser of the two evels. The economy is starting to be in rough shape. The dems are blaming the reps etc etc. so what else is new. the blame game goes on and on.
really we have to blame our selves. we should have more recalls wheen the people we elect don't come through.
Lieing is part of the campaign today. The politicos say it's allright to lie to win. SO WHO OR WHAT DO WE BELIEVE.
I always vote pro second and i will this time. The son of a gun better come thru. The gun grabbing laws should stop and the economy better improve.

The damn republicans aren't much better. Every time the people come together and vote a law the politicians don't like they instantly file a lawsuit to block the law and eventually get it removed.

In view of what's been posted here and from talking to guys that own guns and love the shooting sport, it looks like the Gov. will have their hands full when and if they attempt to take our guns. Question is, will the American people really band together and stand our ground when it comes time? No doubt about it, our fore fathers would have swimmed in a sea of blood to protect our 2nd Amendment Rights. Do we still have the guts to do "whatever it takes to get the job done"? When was the last time anybody on this forum tried to get 10 people to pull together and take a stand for what we know is right and just? Guys, we need to wake up. There is a "new" day dawning and this time "new" does not mean good, pleasant, lovely and all the words that would describe our general prospective of that word. Just food for thought. Bill

You know Bill, the crazy thing is 75% of Americans reading this would think I'm some sort of Timmy McVeigh.

Seriously, it's absurd. Growing up, my father didn't own a gun, we had an alarm that would get armed when we went to bed. that was our protection. Since my dad passed, I've bought my mother several different guns. We go to the range once a month to keep her skills sharp.

Mom is turning 60 and I believe if an intruder came into the house they wouldn't walk out alive. My brother and I own many guns, we hunt deer, bear, elk,first time this year), hogs and duck. We spend a great deal of time away from home hunting and to think some idiot in a pants suit or black man with a racist wife could be our next president is scaring the hell out of me.

Watching a fox news poll, Obama's biggest supporters are white men.... Please tell me why?

I'm sorry if I'm rambling, there isn't much in life that gets me worked up like this.
We all just have to put our foot down this time. There is no excuse for not voting this election.
