Nuclear Coyote Rifles

A 9 or 10 twist 300wsm 28" barrel with a 110 vmax using 8208 easily makes a coyotes innards become outtards in a hurry :)

I'm working up a load for my 300wm. 125grn Nosler BTs. My first trip out i got 3460 fps with a 3/8" group. I'm going to work up in velocity until accuracy drops off.

Didn't intend to make a mess, just got bored while out elk hunting...

I'm surprised 300g berger did that. its a pretty solid bullet. My best guess is that the initial yaw after impact was enough for it to tumble in the yote. good results however!

I have my 7mag loaded up with a 120vmax at 3550. I have not had the chance to "field test" it yet. :-)

Does it fairly reliably and I'm using the OTM match ones with the thicker jacket. You don't want to see (and I don't want to post) what it did to a mature 4x4 mule deer buck from 700+ yards away. Similar to the coyote, ugh. No longer use it for deer. Elk and up only.

This thread has inspired me to shoot some Jackrabbit with my 300 mag. I will post pics of the hole in the ground.
Some really funny tales on here!!!

Ive killed coyotes with my 300 rem ultra. Ive got a 13 twist barrel and cook 168 tipped matchkings @ over 3600fps. I killed one at 80 yards facing me. It lifted his front paws off the ground and split his torso open from the hydrostatic shock. Almost on par with the 300gr berger.

now if we could just get the hughes amendment from FPA84 repealed, I could start a belt-fed coyote thread. that would be epic. :-)

"show me your MG3 coyote rigs!" :-)

I have a buddy that regularly carries a 300 RUM. Granted he runs a high fence ranch and needs enough gun to put down a water buffalo, I still find it hilarious lobbing rounds that cost $3 a round at mangy coyotes.

I guess he didn't get away. That one looks like it gets the blue ribbon so far but we haven't seen pics from some of these other guys. I want to see a pic of one hit with that 375/50BMG. Thanks for posting
