NRA Worth It…no service???

My comment was under the assumption that you did not vote with them. The trouble is that far too many people who did not vote with the majority assume that their vote matters. It does not matter. You can vote until your head caves in that the results will always be the same. That being a continuing assault on 2A by the leftist majority. Our only option is to put our money were our belief system is and fight it out in the courts. Even victory in the courts is no guarantee that things will change. These people know that they are violating your Constitutional rights and they don't care. They will just pass another law that once again needs years in the courts to overcome. Still, contributing to the cause is better than not. The results associated with not fighting in court are quite predictable.
Yeah I agree that it's an uphill battle, but I believe if a person doesn't vote then they have no right to complain. That's about doing our part.

As for the 114 vote, guessing you didn't follow that very close, they barely passed it. Most votes are a landslide in their favor, but definitely not 114. Of course this is also via low voter count, so more folks getting out to vote either side could change it significantly. People also tend to forget there's a slug of Dems and even libtards that are very much pro gun rights.

Yes: 975,863 50.6%
No: 950,891 49.4%

Well here in WA it would not matter what the vote outcome was. If the population voted legislation down (not likely when it comes to 2A rights) the Washington State attorney general would sue over the results claiming that the population did not understand the issue and the WA Supreme Court would back them up. They've done it on numerous occasions. WA truly is a dictatorship along the lines of the Maduro regime.

Churchhill allegedly said "The truth is incontravertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end...there it is".

Did any of the crooks in NRA get convicted? Their entire upper staff were crooks and lived high on the hog with our money. I am a Life Member and I am disappointed in their magazine. 90% of the articles are just advertising that someone pays money for. They disguise the articles as evaluations of new products. Don't remember ever seeing. an article on Bench Rest Comp or Varmint hunting. They seem to cover big game hunting and leave the rest of us out.
Is the NRA still set up to ignore complaints? Why hasn't the "so called new" board brought charges against WLP? How many members want WLP prosecuted? The court said WLP 'could not advise for 10 years and be paid. Is he still advising not to be prosecuted? The court also said he had to repay $4M or $5M, has he done that? I am no longer a Life Member or annual member. The MEMBERS must push this. I don't have the knowledge or the ability to push this, age (82) and some what disabled, BUT it needs to be pursued. I'm not tolerant of B.S.

WLP has repaid a chunk of money. I would prefer him to be prosecuted but I don't know if the publicity would be worth it damaging an already tarnished reputation. I am staying with them as I want them to become what they should have been and were before Wayne. It won't get better with out good members that care. We should give them a chance and understand it won't be quick to turn it around.

NRA sucks. GOA and FPC are gettin it done now. Follow FPC on x for a great laugh. They be tagging tyrants and cursing em out. Its hilarious when they then crush em in court.
Old enough to remember the commercials that said ; "I AM THE NRA " ? I have been both a Junior , and Adult member for years now . Yes ! The organization went downhill like a avalanche under the mis-management of WLP , but if "WE" the shooting public don't step up to fix what's wrong , then "WE" are just as much to blame as the ones who did the damage .
Never , ever forget that the NRA was the very first Civil Rights group in this country ! It is OUR organization , and it is up to us to fix it !
Many of us must maintain membership in the NRA so as to hold our qualifications and rankings within the "F"-Class community , so dumping the NRA because we are Butt-hurt over something isn't a option , either . I didn't like all the "edicts" passed down by the NHRA when I was a crew chief for a A/FX Funny Car back in the seventies either , but I still kept my membership .
And for the record ; I am also a member of GOA ! If you think the NRA "SUCKS" ? Then help to fix it , instead of whining about how bad it is !

We're under constant attack here in Colorado, every year they introduce more and more gun laws and the NRA is nowhere around!

The NY case has been on-going "forever" and yes, charges were handed down. We'll see how well the results work.

I had this battle with "them" several years ago, and still do, here is WA. Part of the response was WA is such a lost cause they chose to use their limited resources elsewhere. That did not make me happy!
Anyway, another part of the response was "you was the NRA" and after thinking about it, I understood. The NRA is a large grass roots organization and when enough of us protest we can get the attention of reasonable people. (Yes, I know that does not include most of the power hungry Left.)

Anyway, we need to be noisy and let them know we are part of a larger organization. To be quiet is to accept their garbage!

Wish I could disagree but 40 years of single party rule has ruined this state. If you thought King Inslee was bad (he was IMHO), just wait for what this guy does to us.

11% tax on firearms and ammunition (in addition to sales tax).
Permit required to purchase a firearm with live fire training under WSP a requirement to get the permit.
Limited to purchasing 1 firearm a month and 1000 rounds if less than 50 BMG.
$25,000 insurance per firearm required when that kind of insurance does not exist in the state.

Those are currently in the works.

Already passed: FFL's must have all firearms under lock and key with HD video and audio surveillance of all parts of the facility. That video and audio must be archived. Estimated cost per FFL is around $250,000. All the FFL's in this area say they are going to stay open until the state physically shuts them down.

The goal of the government functionaries in Washington State is to shutdown all FFL's and turn firearms owners into criminals.

Maybe went out shopping for new suits with everyones money again.
Do people still support the NRA?, is the NRA still around.
I thought they shut down after every one found out it was nothing but another scam.
Good old Wayne and his 275,000 of your money just on suits.
i have never ever ever ever ever evwr seen the NRA do anything but promot rediculous propaganda.
If you listen to the NRA they have you believe every person who isnt white is ready to break down your door rape your family and kill every one..
But if you send money will give you a cheesy magazine with pictures of us in our new suites and free duffle bag
What a bunch of good balls
In fact..they were in NY..a State that needed support from the fantastic NRA..what did they do..ran like cowards to Texas..
ill take my money wipe and flush it before i hand it over to those cons

I think the NRA has done a lot of good in promoting safety with young shooters, and competitions. If nothing else, the NRA has become a boogeyman distraction for the left because whenever something happens they always blame them. So just the fact the left considers them and their membership before they do anything means the left doesn't want to lose their vote.

So, if you’re a thief and return what you stole, we’re good?
Not getting caught lying is not the same as telling the truth.
No that doesn't make us good... I just mean I am not sure bringing more bad press against us would be a good thing. I do not like thieves and truly would like a repeat offender to do serious time for a repeated misdemeanor violation. I mean years of time. Nothing worse than arresting the same guy twice in one week for theft and have him ask me why are you wasting your time...... A shot thief commits far fewer crimes..

I support goa but...

whatever happened Jews for preservation of firearms? Anyone know ...

For a minute they where up and coming but I don't think there wasn't anything else for for anyone to clinge to ...then anyways

I sent them some funds years ago when nra starting looking like we need someone else to fund for the cause lol

Edit looks like they are still going.when nra was at turning point in loosing trust Jews for preservation of firearms was at top of list for awhile anyway.
