NRA Support Thread

"Insurer Chubb Ltd said on Friday that it would stop underwriting an NRA-branded insurance policy for gun owners that covers legal costs in self-defense shootings. Insurance company MetLife Inc ended an auto and home incentive program for NRA members, while several rental car companies announced they were ending discount programs for NRA members."

From something I just read on Yahoo linked off DrudgeReport.

Seems the effort to discriminate against us is increasing daily.

From today's Bulletin (my bold):

Chubb will stop underwriting the NRA’s Carry Guard Program: “Three months ago, Chubb provided notice of our intent to discontinue participation in the NRA Carry Guard insurance program”.

So it's not in response to anything, just an attempt to get some "me too" mileage. That's even worse.

So a cake maker refuses to make a wedding cake for a gay couple and gets fined and the shit sued out of them because they don't agree. I don't see how this is any different than all these companies refusing to do business with the NRA because they don't agree?

Yep, It's because PC trumps common sense.

Delta must have forgotten that their east coast hub is in Georgia. Oops.

http://money.cnn.com/2018/02/26/news/companies/delta-nra-georgia-republican/index.html

It was more than Casey Cagle that raised the red flag. Michael Williams was the first to come out against the deal as well as 3 or 4 other republican candidates for Governor. It was cronie capitalism anyway and deserved to be killed on that merit alone.

The tax break deal was killed Saturday.

The poetic justice is the if the liberal company Delta had just waited until Wednesday this week to go against the NRA, the tax deal would have gone through without a problem. With their liberalness and anti-conservative bent, they just could not help themselves and caved to the socialjustice warriors and announced their cutting of ties with the NRA.

That has cost them millions in operations cost.

Sure put a smile on my face.

Delta Airlines pays the price. Ne Ner Ne Ner.:p:D

Maybe if enough of the "little guys" stick to their guns, the BIG BOYS just might get the message?? Worked in the last election didn't it?

This whole thing is crazy. Are we going to boycott all businesses that don't offer a discount to us as NRA members? Big business knows how to play tit for tat.

The question is? Are the discounts being dropped because these companies are against the NRA?? Political pressure being pushed by the Liberals??
Are THAT MANY folks using the discounts? If there are, that should tell them just how many support the NRA and the 2nd. Amendment. (screw the liberals)
If enough people squawk, you just might find out why.

I can see a boycott affecting firearms related businesses, but don't see it happening with those we don't often spend money on. When money is involved, people usually look for the lowest price.

I spend $30K/yr on my NRA Visa (FNBO). I spend $10K-$15K/yr on Delta. If they don't want my business, I'm happy to take it elsewhere, and have told them so.

Companies are free to offer discounts (or not) to whomever they wish. But when they publicize severing longstanding relationships with the NRA they are attempting to stigmatize membership in the NRA -- the organization that is by far the most effective at protecting our constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

Our company spends about $35K per year with National/Enterprise and about $75K per year with Delta. I am drafting emails to our corporate contacts right now. The only other major travel expense we have is with IHG hotels and it's a crap ton, we will drop them as well if they jump on this train. It's going to take a lot of whiney ass liberals just to make up for what they will lose from us alone, and we are nothing more than a drop in the ocean. I am done f'ing with these people.

Heck no. Not because I want a discount but because they are gutless sheep who say they are "apolitical". Right! Screw being afraid of "tit for tat"....that could have been said to the guys who stood on the bridge at Concord in the face of big business England. If everybody just sits on their collective ass and does not get in these people's faces then we deserve what we get.

All of these corporations could have just as easily offered discounts to an anti-second amendment group as a show of neutrality just as they did for the NRA if that's what it was all about.

I just called LifeLock and cancelled my families subscription that was paid up till next fall, love the fact that they had to return money they already collected from me. The customer care representative told me he was "well aware" of the fact that there was a backlash from the stance they took. I asked him for a corporate contact to voice my concerns, he said "the collective voice is being heard."

I just tried to call Delta and the wait time is over 2 hours. I call Delta A LOT and it's never like that for anyone with status.

KEEP CALLING!!
