There will be a NRA Midrange (600yd) match this Sunday at St. Louis Benchrest Club. F-Class will shoot next to the slingers on dedicated targets. We would like to see more F-Class attendance at our NRA midrange matches so Mike will throw in a couple 1st place medals for the winners of FT/R and F Open.

This is a 88 shot match with 4 relays of 2 sighters + 20 score all at 600yrds. Be sure to Pack a lunch for a long match. The highpower crew runs this match very well, and it is always a great time! See you there!

The true test of skills is the highpower way. Those guys are great shots for certain and it's an honor to try to keep up with them .We have a dedicated crew at St.Louis that we are as proud of as any discipline deserves. I'm looking forward to the match.

Mike

PS. It's hard to remind myself on sun that they are on their 2nd day.

It might be windy tomorrow, and maybe rain. I will be there to shoot! And we will learn alot about tough conditions, im pretty sure of that!

It went very well!!! It poured down the minute we put everything away. Pete will give a report soon. Take note of George Johnson he is 81 yrs old and in highpower he is the Man.

It was one of those try to keep it on the paper matches. Everyone had a battle with the conditions. All points on the compass wind day. I'll take that over a trigger pull anytime.

I was shooting a 284 I only had 100 zero on. So I came up then dialed in wind once. Put it back on zero then game on. I shot my share of 8's this match.

Had a great time, thanks for putting on a good match!

How did you shoot?

My 2nd f-class match, Im 3rd in FO, shooting a .243 off a bipod. I did 50 rounds of sight in and load work up at 100, and went to the match.

I cross shot on the 1st match, that hurts. Had a decent (for me) 2nd and third match, and couldnt figure out the 4th match wind.

I dialed 1moa of wind, and held up to 1 more at times.

Was a great match and a good time! Challenging contitions with the flags not showing much, and little if any mirage to work with. Great shooting IMMIKE! All I have to say is slam-fires in the 7 ring are not fun! Always a learning experience! See you again on the line!

Next Club F-Class 600 yd ( 30 shots for record with sighters) Match is on Thursday 9/6 at STL Benchrest. Shooting begins at 8:00 I believe. This will be the last Thursday match of the year. We usually have a great turnout.

Also the next NRA 600 yd match 88 rd match is on Saturday October 20th. I will post this again to remind all of you.

Yah!! Way to go Mike & Pete, was a blast watching you guys dual all summer!! (Via the internet, as fun as thst can be..... ;D )

But look at Cokerham, shooting F/TR and knippin at the heels of the big guns!! You guys are lucky he aint shooting open class... Way to go Ryan!!

Those 2 are a pair of princes for sure, and tough competition. It breaks my heart to keep pete out of the top slot, but there is not much real estate at the top of the hill. They do keep us hopping at St.Louis. We are having a blast!!!!

Cokerham shot very well. In fact, on his last relay the wind switched at least three times, died, started raining, and picked up again and he prevailed. When he gets his new rifle up and going watch out!

Hope to see many of you next thursday! Hoping to have my Dasher ready for its debut!

Pete Petros

New Dasher huh? That's a good cartridge , I'll make sure I'm ready for your dollar Pete ! I'm sorry about the bad weather coming in for the weekend matches planned, but rain is desperately needed. Our last monthly is coming up and is usually our most attended. Leo the cook says : chili dogs and macaroni salad with a desert. Come enjoy the match!
