NRA F-Class Mid-Range Regional May 21-22 Bucksnort Rifle Club Marshall, MO

I have a long haul back from surgery but am already trying to get prepared for the July MO State event. Had a great time last year coming in from Omaha. I'd like to start adding to the calendar now.

Have a great one in May.

Best,

Ed

Glad you made it man!! I'm also glad you are coming to the state match!. That's just great reporting right there. I haven't been everywhere, but this place is my favorite for these type matches. This range has a history and the memorial markers to prove it on the line. Hats off to this club for saving our state championship from doom. Ryan, what can I say... Many great people made good decisions and I'm elated with the open minds. It belongs here and I saw that right away. There will be plenty of food Friday evenings for you guys I promise, so help me Travis , lol

Thanks Immike! Time to officially support the forum and Bucksnort. I felt privileged to be involved last year and some of the MO guys that come up to Louisville, NE made it easy for me to feel party of the group.

The range, staff, and attendees were/are second to none....AND dang you guys can SHOOT!

The Missouri River has provided us with plenty of fish for both nights.

I caught this little guy tonight:

Nice one Ryan! , how are you catching them? Trot line, jugs, rods? I'm just getting ready to start my jugging trips at the lake. I'm gonna guess 45lbs on that fish. They are long on that river, I caught a 65 flat head that ran from my throat to the floor on the Missouri River. That is a swift dangerous river (lost 2 neighbors to it) but is the most beautiful place to fish.

I caught this one on a bank pole. It weighed 72 lbs 13 oz.

I have the pleasure of making every fish look smaller in photos than they actually are. I guess 6'1" 215 lbs does that. ;)

Ok I might have missed that one by a few pounds. Lol. You gotta turn them blues sideways to get a look at their girth. 72lbs is Missouri River for ya, it's got them!! Had a friend Sy Guttermuth that was a fisherman there, he fished Howell island with bank poles. A big one took off with the pole and headed upstream like hundreds of miles upstream and was found in a tributary near the start of the river. A guy found his stamped on brass tag with skeleton monster fish and the bank pole in a brush pile. He had his sister in St.Louis find his number to see if he had been up there fishing. Hmmm . Travis and I will pitch in Friday with some hushpuppies to go with those fish Ryan.

Any one has a preference on what type of ice cream we make. I'll have mine also. Figure well make one Friday night and other Saturday night

Immike between dad and I we can have those legs cooked quick this time. That way you can keep up with mixing up Hush puppies.

Ryan, nice fish. I see you kept your trigger finger protected with gloves.

I've received word that Sierra Bullets is going to provide competitors with cold drinks for the match.

Thanks to Matt Reams and the fine folks at Sierra for the donation!
I will bring condiments, plates, serving trays, paper towels, etc.
Let me know of any other things I could help with.

For forum members and guests who are not familiar with, or don't know these guys, rest assured that there will also be a lot of quality shooting during this well organized and conducted 600-yard F-Class, 2-day match. ;) :)

I just spoke to John Perkins of 21st Century Shooting. He will be in town for the regional.

If you are looking to order anything from 21st and would like to save the shipping cost, let him know and he will bring your order to the match.

I would like to camp at the range if possible.
Do I need to make any arrangements ahead time?

Thank You
Donnie

We (Bucksnort) have 9 or so electric hookups for RVs, 3 of which are reserved for club officers, and a 4th for Ryan the match director. The others are a free for all. We do not have a dump station but we do have good water to fill tanks if needed.

The bunkhouse has 22 beds, free and first come, first served.

Tent camping is wide open, we have never run out of room, but I suppose it could happen.

We have a couple of charcoal grills available for anyone to use as well.

Please don't hesitate if you have more questions. Our F-Class match last year was a great time and we are hoping this one will be too.

Someone likes it frosty in the bunk house. Bring your heavy bag.

Good sleeping in that bunk house, the cold keeps the bugs grounded. Bring a set of sheets and blankets for a full size bed with your pillow and watch out for that 2x4 in the door way! Lol

Wish I could make to this one, I have a match scheduled here at Vapor trail that weekend.

I did send in my entry for the state match, very much looking forward to it!

BTW, Andy is my neighbor, just over the hill.

Goodluck guys,

Tom e you just took a huge load off Immike shoulders. He has been worried about the possible extra heat coming from vapor trail. I am sorry you guys won't be able to make this one. good luck at your match.

Tom e don't worry the big piney guys and joe will try to keep the extra weight on Immike

I think you better put the bullseye on Joe this match Travis, my action and new barrel just left on the brown truck today. I'm not out but this will be a challenge to get ready.
