NRA Discount Membership

Don't know if any of you folks knew this or if it has been posted but if not it's good to be aware of. If previously posted, I apologize for the regurgitation.
Did copy & paste of the info below from the NRA site, Renew or Upgrade membership. This is not from the selection in the column on the left of the home page but from the changing advertisement to the right on the Home Page digital version. So, it could be easily missed. $300 for Life Membership, that's less than I paid for Life Membership in early 90's.

Today you can sign up family members and friends for a one-year NRA membership, with full benefits, for just $20 each. Or, for the ultimate discount, sign up family and friends for NRA Life Membership for just $300 each -- a $1,000 value! And there’s no limit to the number of new members you can enroll at this special discount rate!

Simply enter the following information for your friend or family member to take advantage of this great opportunity to strengthen NRA and freedom. Annual gift membership available only to friends and family members who are not current members of the NRA. Life Membership available to all friends and family members including current annual members.

Gift Membership Information
I wish to give: --- Select a Gift Membership --- a One-year membership ($20.00) a Life Membership ($300.00)

This only applies if your are aready a Life Member.....or know one and they can GIFT IT to you.

This does not apply to a non member to join, unless it's GIFTED.......

Still a good deal to help the fight!

Yes, completely undersood the gift offer. I just wasn't aware of the $300 deal in doing so. I don't access the NRA site that often (shame on me) and very seldom receive snail mail from them other than my magazine which I just changed to the digital version or the mailings from NRA-ILA. I have convinced folks to join in the past and do continue trying to get others to join now. Gotta stay at it.

I emailed the NRA today since I could not find this on their site. Here is the response:

Thank you for contacting us.

It is a special sale that is offered on occasion, but is currently not available.

Best Regards,

Mike

Did you know that you can view your membership, change your address, email, and magazine choice?

P.S. If you need to contact us again concerning this, please make sure you include this and any previous correspondence. CoverDog,
I beg to differ. I just accessed NRA site and it is still showing. I spoke on the phone yesterday to a member rep at NRA and the offer is still active.

There is a sequence to go through to get to it and it asks for your member ID number, email address, zip code and to type in the security code that shows to the right on the login page.

This login page is accessed where you see the changing advertisement directly beneath where you read on the Home Page "Meet me in St Louis" which you will find at top right of the Home Page. You access the login page from the advertisement showing the "NRA Member" card when it comes around. Just click on it and it brings up the login page.

Honestly, I found it by accident I guess because I'm trying to get a couple guys to join but it is there. It's a good deal I think.

Well I did as you said and I got the offer to join for 1, 3 or 5 years. Then below that a Special life membership for $600 and a free jacket. I guess they just want me to keep sending $100 for 5 years.

OK. I think I see what's going on. I didn't make this point when I first posted and I humbly apologize but Taildrag15X is familiar with this offer as he responded. This particular dicounted offer is available for current Life Members to gift to friends and family members just as the offer reads and as Taildrag indicated. If one is not a current Life Member then the page for this offer is not accessible thus the reason I take it for keying in your member ID number. What really surprised me initially was the amount in this gift offer. Again I apologize. I certainly didn't mean to lead anyone on goose chase.
