Now, how about an Annie?

I have read all kinds of posts about all kinds of annealers. First it was drill drivers , a deep socket and a Bernz-a-Matic torch. then, automatic turn-stile gas annealers, then fancier turn-styles and vertical feeders. Then along comes the Annie at about $450. Seemed a fair price to me, less than many gas annealers and to my EE background, more consistent with energy into case. Then, along comes the AMP for $1000!

Well, I bought an Annie when Fluxeon first started marketing them. And, I had problems. I also had 40 years experience in making tiny integrated circuits and was familiar with the throes of getting something into reliable production so I was patient. Fluxeon continued to pay VERY close attention to me and my problems and they kept me happy. Now I have the pretty much latest Mod of the Annie and I am a VERY happy annealer. I also built a pad to mount the Annie on that holds a glass rod vertically cut for each case I anneal. That plus the water cooled coil does a GREAT job of annealing for consistent bullet seating. This adapter can be seen in the stickie about the Annie above.

So, how come folks don't seem to like the Annie? No one wants to brag about their Annie except me! I accept that the AMP is a fancier machine but it costs over twice what the Annie costs and, as far as I'm concerned after carefully characterizing each size and brand of case, my Annie anneals just as well and as fast as the AMP as well as being very small and easy to find space for. I have NEVER overheated the system no matter how many cases I anneal at one setting and the anneal speed is un-matched even compared to the fast automatic gas annealers.

I saw one at Warner Tool Company last week on a visit. I have a couple other items but at some point will sell my annealeze and viy one of these.

I love my Annie, it works great, is repeatable and is much cheaper than some other brands. While I went overboard and built a system around it, (mostly for something to do in the winter) http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/induction-annealer-built-around-annie.3914150/ normmatzen came up with an elegant, cheap way to locate the case.

I am a big fan of induction annealing, it is easy to find the correct times with Tempilac, and no flames. The Annie seems to be able to anneal continuously with the water cooling, and doesn't require a special caseholder for each case.

Count me among the fans. It's a breeze to set up and use, reliable, consistent, etc., etc. And I have nothing but praise for Garret and his crew - helpful, responsive and wired to do what's best for the customer.

Happy customer and user? You bet I am!

That's what I like to see!

You won't be disappointed! Garett is great to work with and goes the distance to get you squared away.
Bought one with him knowing I was using it in a commercial app. and his response to minor glitches has been very good. Excellent actually.
Up and running with the std unit w/ the pump and radiator cooling. Handles everything I throw at it, so far. (A bit slower on the 50 brass)
He is making a more robust unit to be released soon to handle the 50's and the 20mm Vulcan brass We wildcat here.
I've made a plunger loading system that allows me to load and start the next cycle in less than 4 seconds. This new unit
will run all day, every day. Looking forward to it.
With all the wildcats, brass forming, and brass from customers we build dies for, I can forget about having any problems with annealing.

I do have to drink scotch thru a straw when running it cause my hands are too busy loading and unloading. I'm getting used to it.

another happy user here. along with the FX120 and Whidden dies, one of my best purchases.
