Noticing that interest in 7MM's seems on the decline

Unless you like to shoot bullets in the 140-160gr class.

The 7PRC SAAMI spec is for a 180gr bullet.

Hence, yet another reamer.
Nothing unusual really. Get a zero freebore reamer and throat the chamber for light bullets. Personally I can't see using a 7PRC with light bullets. 168-180s maybe.

The rats are following the 6.5mm pied pipe. Things come and go, wax and wane but nothing can detract from a truly effective caliber or case. E,g, .308 NM.

I doubt there is much left on the table for 284 bullets, there is only that much length and weight you can add to a bullet.
That Hornady A-Tip opened up more room for development with
its long tip. Normally the longer the bullet, the more twist needed,
but the A-Tip allows a slower or the same twist. I can see future
work where the tip becomes even longer and the lead cored body
is just used for the engraving. Long, high BC bullets for slow twist
rates would be worthy......A quick excercise on JBM

180gr bullet with a .5" aluminum tip, and overall length of 1.75"
At 3000 fps, and a 9 twist barrel it's a 1.9 factor. Going to need
a much longer throat though, and a long action......Just thinking
out loud again !!
