I like the partition where I want a flat based type spitzer that opens readily on smaller deer and yet is guaranteed to hold together and penetrate if needed on larger deer species. Having said that, I would love to know if the Whidden bullet pointing die can be made to work effectively on the nose.
The Accubond and Scirocco are harder and better suited to large deer/elk.
However, I have not any of these in calibres above .30
