Nosler Custom Competition Bullets

Wouldn't the definitive diagnostic measure be . . . . .. . .

. . .. . .if someone actually measured a box and provided a chart or pic or anything other than antcedote actually showing data and facts ?? :o

No, that won't be me. :)

This is shooting. People don't test much. Mostly it's just voodoo, witchcraft, and money... Mostly money. If it costs more or has a two year waiting list it must work better...

Here is a nice line up of bullets in a picture to marvel at. Including the Nosler.

Enjoy.

Why the Pink warning ???? Has the density of the atmosphere or lead changed ? I was searching the internet for info on the Nosler 6mm 105 Custom Competition. Just wanted to see it the bullets were tangent or secant ogive. Not that it would matter to me. Just starting a new load with new bullets, primers and powder. Maybe I'll get the pink off this page and take my own medicine and measure some bullets. :) The tangent ogive is less sensitive to seating depth, no ? Are the Nosler CC 105 6mm tangent or secant ? - Thanks - And,

Cheers !!!

1holeaddict, if they don't shoot well, I'll buy any you want to sell. In my 6xc, I tried the 107 and 105 Nosler CC's and both shot very well. The 105's shot a bit tighter. At 200 yds typical groups were .833" and .819", 5 shot groups. With 40g R-17 I'm getting 3145 FPS, both bullets.

I'm using a 31" Krieger, 7.5 twist. To my surprise, with a scope, I came up only 7 5/8 minutes from 200 to 600 yd zero. BC must be close to only need that little elevation.

My observations, new rifle, new load, but I'm completely satisfied.

Repeat that several times and repost please,...rather shoot several 5 shot groups, and then post the target again, I would like to see it shoot that well everytime or was that one of those flukes we all get from time to time ;)
Wayne.

I've got several 5 shot groups like that from that rifle and my 6mm br. I've got some pictures somewhere I can find and post for you. I don't compete or anything but I have my own firing range out to 1300 yards complete with a ber and target carrier. I don't compete at bench rest anyway. I shot Highpower for several years and am getting ready for some fclass and field tactical matches.

Well John,..judging from those groups at 200 yds your gonna do well. Congrats on the good shooting ;)

I am just amazed every time I shoot them. It boggles my mind that I can assemble a rifle at home with basic hand tools and a headspace gauge and they will consistently shoot the way they do. They both have savage accutriggers pulling around 14 ounces and McGowan prefit barrels. I have a 308 win that will shoot one hole groups at 100 also and it has an eabco prefit.
I have a friend that has a GAP that can't match them, and needless to say he isn't thrilled with the difference in price and performance. His gun shoots very well though and I haven't actually put his on the rest and fired it myself yet.
I do have less money in all three of my rifles than he has in that one though.
There is something very satisfying about building it yourself though.

Thanks for listening to my ramble.
