Nosler 77gr Competition bullets

I don't see much love for these. Do the Matchkings, Berger VLDs overrule the Noslers and Hornady Match bullets??

I have 200 of the Noslers, going to try in my 9 twist 5R .223 and 8 twist Seekins AR.

Anyone have these as their "go-to" bullets?

For me, the Hornady's just shoot better out of my rifles. I've not taken the time to weigh or measure BTO, but the Hornady's I have checked have been very consistent. As consistent as Berger? No, but they also aren't twice the price.

I use the nosler custom competition 77 gr. Bullets all the time.. I'm shooting at 300 yrd. With reloader 15 and rem. 7 1/2 BR primer in lake city once fired brass . I trim primer pockets , trim case length, weight sort and its good strong brass I shoot not loads and the primer pockets don't loosen up..
I don't see the point in wasting my money on Berger bullets out of an AR type rifle.

That's just me, I can't shoot good enough to justify the add exspence.

I'm going thru 1500 75g hornady HPBT bullets now and have a few thousand 77g noslers to use after that. I shoot them XTC (200 and 300 yds)and with those targets having a 7" 10 ring and a 3" x ring they will do just fine. (tests show both bullets will hold the x ring at 300 yds)

So, what type of shooting are you doing? Are these bullets bench rest bullets....no? What type of groups are you expecting?

If you're not measuring groups to the thousands, these bullets will do just fine. Not sure if the 9 twist will stabilize the 75's and probably will not the 77's.

I shoot them, they are a serria clone. I have shot many cleans at 2 and 300 with them in xtc out of service rifles and space guns. 1-9 will stabilize them fine.

This is a 5 shot group @ 100 yds. using the 77 gr. Nosler shot from prone using a bipod, and a rear bag.
