Still some on the ground south of Spokane and was indeed a mild day. Ran to Post Falls yesterday, nice to see sun instead of the gray cloud cover where we live, had hopes the sun might have peeked through, but no, still gray when I got home.
There are landlocked Chinook in Coeur d'Alene Lake, and big 'bows and Kamloops in Pend Oreille, but I fish this side of the border, and north, chasing smaller, but prime, rainbow in Lake Roosevelt. I consider it one of the top trout fisheries, if not THE top, in the state. I readily admit I'm biased.
Btw, there's also a Sportman's Warehouse in North Spokane.
Have been a WA resident since '67 when my dad got stationed at McCord. I, too, chose a career in the USAF and when I got orders to Fairchild in 1990, we knew this was where we would plant roots for the future. Sometimes hard to believe it's been 30 years.
