Norma URP for 6.5 Creedmoor??

Norma URP anybody load it? Guy in our club is trying to sell me the remains of an 8lb jug for $100 bucks. He said the jug right now weighs just under 5.5 lbs. I see it in the reloading books but don't know anybody loading it or shooting it. Just curious as it looks like a deal as it retails for just over $30 a pound.

I have loaded it in the 6 Dasher and my 25 Norma dasher. It is a high energy powder and it has some extra nitroglycerine in it. For me, it shoots really well in the 25 Dasher. It seems to perform best at the upper limits.
It seems to be very similar to RE-17
Go to the Norma site and see if you can find some loading data for URP and the 6.5x47L and try to extrapolate from there. Get the chrono out and start on the lower end and work up.

Add on: It has the same bulk density as Re-15 and fills the case like Re-15 does.

Been on Norma's site and poked around, kinda looking for real world feedback on it before I buy it. My "go to" powder is H4350 or RE-15 and the 15 is getting harder to find local. Norma is a trusted brand and a well know name but nobody seems to use their powders?? Not going to take the plunge for 5+ pounds if its "just another powder" that shoots ok, I have a room full of those now...

'URP' is the high-energy variant of Norma 204. It has a slightly quicker burning rate than 204, but around 12% nitroglycerin content by weight instead or 204's 4 or 5%. Both are in the same burning rate class as the 4350s and do the same jobs.

Norma lists it for 6.5 Creedmoor in its online facility (but not in its most recent printed manual).

The Norma powders usually produce high MVs as they combine quite high specific energy levels and short-cut kernels allowing a lot of energy to be packed into smaller cases where capacity is often an issue.

I can't comment on temperature sensitivity for URP - some Norma and Alliant grades that originate in the Bofors, Karlskoga facility in Sweden have a reputation for being temperature affected, particularly Norma 203-B / Alliant Re15.
