Norma urp and the.284 win.

Since the .284 win is making a come back; I would be curious about urp as subsitute for H4350 and N550. Got 5lbs. collecting dust and there's not much data out there for it. Will be working up some loads w/ Berger 140 vld's. This might make a good deer round. Any input is appreciated.

I don't know of any 140's that Berger makes in 7mm. I think the lightest they currently make is 168 for the VLD styles. Unless your talking about the 6.5x284 and forgot to type 6.5?

They make them, but are listed in the hunting bullets section. Have used them in my 7-08 to good effect. I have alot and thought they might make a good long range coyote or deer bullet.

7mm 140 Grain Match Hunting VLD , I'll be darned, you're right. I actually checked the Berger sight before I posted to confirm, looked under section All bullets just didn't scroll to hunting bullets. But that was before my nap. Thanks for informing me!
