Norma Extreme Long Range

shot some yesterday, accuracy was not bad, at 175 it was about 2 inch, but it would not extract reliably in my barrel and in my friends barrel. Mine is a cz with shilen barrel and custom chamber that shoots lapua products with no eject/ extract issues. Friends was also a custom chamber that shoots eley and lapus with no problem. Rounds would feed easy but the extractors would slip off leaving the case in the chamber. Sometimes a second try wouild work or have to pick out with a knife. Seems a shame as the accuracy potential appeared to have promise for longer distance. We both have competed with 22's to 400. dont know what the cost was as he ordered it. both chambers are win 52 match for info.

It may be great stuff, but don't get caught up in the "extreme long range" marketing hype. I've shot 100 and 200 yd 22 rf matches for years and my normal RWS R50 or Lapua Midas+ works fine if the wind isn't blowing a gale. However, anything new is probably worth a try if you haven't found anything that works well beyond 50 yards yet.

Todays testing. Grabbed the wrong rifle case so no Sako Quad results.

Conditions were very good, barely any wind. 10 shots groups at 50y and 100y. The TAC-22 each had a high cold bore shot.

Norma Xtreme LR did not stand out, but it was obvious every shot was supersonic today, 45F and humid. In warmer air maybe it will calm down a bit.

The Lapua LR stayed subsonic.
