Norma brass

How does recent Norma brass compare to the other high quality brass? It seems like most reviews I found were quite a bit ago.

Reason I ask is that I just picked up a factory Savage .223 varmint and was looking to get some Lapua brass and load it, but I found some loaded Norma ammo locally for $0.40 per round. The Norma is actually cheaper loaded than unloaded.

I am assuming that Norma TAC ammo is using the same cases as their unloaded cases.

I like Norma brass, is it Lapua? Maybe not, but it's better the Win, Rem and most of the rest..

I shoot Norma in a .220 Swift and a 30-06 match rifle - it is great stuff.

I recently bought 500 Norma cases in .220 Swift , Lapua don't make .220 Swift so it was no choice , except Rem and the Rem was nearly as expensive as the Norma.

Winchester makes .220 Swift, and it is very good (but not as good as Norma).

Are you sure Winchester makes brass? Store shelves and retailer stocks seem to say otherwise... :-\

Winchester swift has been great, except for one batch I got that had primer pockets which loosened up after far fewer firings than they should, and the necks were incredibly thick.

I've since switched to Norma and am shooting more consistent.

A buddy lucked into Remington swift brass for $31/100 a year ago. We bought 600 pieces together.

Actually, the question on the table was whether Winchester MADE .220 Swift brass... not whether it was in stock.. For a while last year, brass was getting better, but now, it is as bad as it was 3 years ago

Rarely do we see WW brass down here is any calibre , shame , the old Red Rider stuff wuz good !
