Seen a suppressor made from plastic pipe. It worked well. Not for hanging on an M16.full auto fire
Maybe for an air rifleSeen a suppressor made from plastic pipe. It worked well. Not for hanging on an M16.
Best most logical point yet!If the range was there first, screw them. Don't don't do a damn thing. When you buy a house next to an airport they dont shut the airport down cuz people complain about noise.
Gotta love them Democrats! lol.I was on BOD of our local trap club for a few years. There were a few rental properties down the road and you always knew when a new renter moved in. We shot every Thursday night and I'd answer the phone and it would be the same woman. She'd call 10+ times a day. For a while it was "my dog is scared of gunfire and ran off (again), you HAVE to stop shooting!" Me, Ma'am we've been shooting every Thursday night for over 50 years, we stop at 9pm, her NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE TO STOP SHOOTING! This went on for months. Finally we all just started inviting her to shoot with us and she'd just get mad and hang up.
On another front I have a good friend who's a pilot lives in a very expensive rural coastal community with their own private airport which because of rural location is quite beneficial. A woman lawyer who is heavily tied to Democratic Party and her husband moved in a few years ago to one of the homes that's closest to runway, maybe 150 yards away. They immediately after moving in demanded that the airport be closed. They have been huge PITA and got a few other home owners to side with them and threatened lawsuits and complaints to the FAA. She finally got a dose of her own medicine. They are divorcing and moving. She found out her husband in his mid 50's was having an affair with an 80+ year old women on the BOD that was one of their anti airport allies, LOL!
Sadly, with so many activist judges it is not certain that logic will prevail…Best most logical point yet!
Exactly! They came very close to loosing the airport.Sadly, with so many activist judges it is not certain that logic will prevail…
Isn’t it something. Some idiot buys a house near a gun range and then complains about the noise.
Lawsuits are being filed by liberals for a lot of reasons. Lead exposure, noise “pollution”, air pollution. They just want them gone.
The ONLY reasonable complaint is “bullets leaving the range”. A few idiot members can get a range shut down because of it.
It's much better when you mix it with the sights, temperatures and smells of Autumn.Personally, I enjoy the crack of an unsuppressed firearm first thing in the morning. Sounds like victory.
Personally, I love the smell of gunpowder - any time of the day.Personally, I enjoy the crack of an unsuppressed firearm first thing in the morning. Sounds like victory.
Atglen? I’m a member there.A shooting club I belonged to in eastern PA back in the '80s had a number of complaints from a new housing development built a short distance (probably less than a 1/4 mile) to the left of the ranges. Club has been there since the 1920s, if I remember right. This was about the time of the big influx of Joisey folks & New Yawkers into PA. It went nowhere. The road to get to the development from both directions was called... wait for it... Gun Club Rd. Imagine that.
The DCM monthly shoots were run by the retired police chief from town with 20-30 guys shooting mostly M1s & M1As rapid fire Saturday mornings starting at 9.
