No more Dick's sporting goods store for me

Heard on the news this morning that they are not going to sell certain items due to the school shootings. I have bought stuff from them through the years.............NO MORE. I will never step foot inside their doors again for anything. Sounds like Dick's has a bunch of you know.......running the place.

Same here with Natchez Shooters supply, Midway USA, and a couple of others that refused to sell ammo etc to anyone in Chicago. Even though I don't live there anymore, I still won't buy from them. I won't even buy clothes or anything else.

Galyan's Sports and Outdoor Adventure, in Des Peres (St Louis) West County Mall, was a great store for all types of firearms and everything related. When Dick's took over, they eliminated anything (firearms related) that they thought would not be politially correct, including pistols (?!). I never shopped at Dick's.

Dick's went down this same road after Sandy Hook as well. They even backed out on a contract with a manufacturer after said Mfg. had tooled up at great expense and delivered thousands of pieces to them. Not only did they back out they returned all the pieces that had been delivered.
BTW, it is important to know that Dick's also operates the Field & Stream stores. They opened them in an effort to make the Dick's stores "more family friendly".
I just wonder if they are cutting out sales at Dick's only or under their F&S banner too.

Did not know that. I heard they would not sell high capacity magazines and some other things gun related do to school shootings. Well, I guess I am a little behind.......but I will buy elsewhere from now on. I used to use the UPS store years ago to ship some gun items. Went to insure it and they had to know what was inside. Told them it was a gun stock and said they would not ship it as it was gun related. Never went back their again either.

They are pulling them from all of their stores. One of the guns owned by the shooter was purchased at Dicks. It appears that sale to him is weighing heavily on their hearts.

I read that this will affect both Dick’s and Field and Stream.
I stopped shopping at Dick’s when they stopped selling handguns. I’m sure they’ll go the the way Sports Authority did. Out of business..
Only way I’ll shop there again will be for the going out of business sale...

Probably still going to be over priced. I laughed when the Gander Mountain’s went out of business around here last year. Tons of sales and still over priced on their items. Walked in and walked out. Dick’s has always been on the lowest end of the totem pole...

That had to be that particular store. I have got many gun related items delivered from UPS. When the driver comes to my gunsmith shop, he has dog bones for his dogs. Matt

i dont think ive ever purchased anything at dicks. So they are going to stop selling AR-15s and stop selling any guns to anyone under 21. i wonder how that will affect their sales. i wont be buying anything from them.

Cruz bought a shotgun at Dicks's that was NOT used in the shooting.

They are also saying they will not sell firearms to anyone under 21 anymore. If the bakery that wouldn't make the wedding cake for the two lesbians was found guilty of discrimination, then if Dick's refuses to sell a rifle/shotgun to someone who is over 18 (the legal age for purchase) and under 21 then they should be prosecuted and face a civil suit for age discrimination.

Federal law sets a minimum standard. States can go above it.
