Nitrile Gloves

I use Nitrile glove all the time when cleaning rifles. They come in varying thicknesses and varying quality. The Steel Venom brand works very well as to the heavier duty ones from Harbor Freight.

That said, I usually use the cheap ones from Harbor Freight and simply put on a new one when one tears.

Went into Harbor Freight to buy more and they triple in price. Sign said that their supplier raised the price. They are still selling at the same mark up.Temporary issue.

These are what I’m using. If you keep an eye on ebay you used to find pretty good buys on a full case. Of course, like everything else, the prices are up at the moment

Do they make ones long enough to cover your cuff so as to stop the uristhiol (sp) from giving you a itchy rash? Need something for trimming hedges.

I use the 9 mil from Harbor Freight, as others have stated, some gun scrubbers / brake cleaners give them a hard time, but they will usually last through one gun cleaning.

I have em but My hands sweat so bad they are a mess inside quickly do I don't use them.
Having a rag to crumple/dab solvent off fingers works for me. Dawn cleans up the blacked finger tips.

Venom steel heavy duty 2 layer industrial gloves. Rip and chemical resistant nitrile. One size fits most glove, I wear x-large in most gloves. These have held up to repeated use while using common gun solvents and break cleaner. Didn't work well while doing an actual break job, no puncture protection.

I can’t wear latex or Nitrile at all. Way too uncomfortable and wear out fast when working with sharp tooling. I also want the feel of parts and finished which the gloves prevent.

Dawn and Lava are superb for cleanup, never a problem!

If you live in an area that has dairy farms, buy them from the local farm store. After the kungfu virus came along, Horror Freight went rogue on their prices for all things the CDC was yapping about. I use these and the long sleeve type for deer gutting. Haven't found any gun cleaning solvents that ate them either.
