Nikon monarch 3 6x24x50

i have this mounted on a egw one piece base,on a savage short action
i was just wondering if this was normal, the left to right adjustment is all the way out to about 6?

talked to a guy at nikon,he said try a different base,so i put a 2 piece on it,didnt help it,he said if it didnt help,to send it in.what would you guys do?go with a leupold base?or send it in?

I have the same scope on a short action Savage 22-250 and have no issues. However I am using a Weaver one piece, 20moa base. You could use Burris Signature rings and correct the issue. Edit, since you changed rings and it didn't help I would think the holes drilled by Savage are off some.

I wouldn't send the scope back without first verifying that it has a problem. Troubleshooting should be easy enough if you can install another scope of known pedigree on the rifle with the same rings and base to see if it also has a big windage offset. If you require a large windage offset with the second scope then the problem lies in the mounting of the scope, not the Nikon scope. Hope this helps.

Well it looks like it's my action that's causing it to point to the right a little, the burris signature zee rings I can find but no inserts,do I go with leupold base with the windage adjustment?

Aluminum Weaver extruded base . Had a two piece set that was crooked. Replace with a set of steel weaver style bases and problem solved .
