Nightforce Varmiter

I am new to the long range shooting game, but I wanted to see if I could get some opions on this scope. I picked up a Varmiter 3.5x15x56 a while back. How do these scopes compare to the new night force scopes? Any history on this series of scopes? Quality ect. The only thing that worries me if something goes wrong with it will night force be able to repair it? Thanks in advance, Richard

If it breaks NF will fix it. That's a given. (if it's not I'll be amazed) I'm not familiar with the old Varmiter models, but NF built the rep it has today on the scopes it made yrs ago. This market is not very forgiving of a bad product, esp from a newish company. (OK, people seem to be ignoring the "Beast" )

Bottom line, I'd mount it and shoot the barrel out from under it and not worry about it.

Yes I believe if it would break, Nightforce would either fix it or replace it. I know a few of the 36x ones around. They were good scopes and are still working good. Matt

I have one that I bought second hand in 1998, never had an issue. It is on varmint gun.
