Nightforce Reticles

About to buy a nightforce competition for 1000 yard f class and can't decide on a reticle, the DDR-2 or FCR-1. Any opinions from you who have used them and why would be greatly appreciated.

Get the DDR-2...It is the closest reticle to the CH-3 old reticle that has been discontinued. You can hold very precisely.

Those are probably the two most popular for F-class. It all depends on whether you want a dot or crosshairs to aim with.

I had a DDR and sold it to get an FCR. It is completely personal choice. I would lose the dot on the black target. That's me and my eyes. Others love it.

See of you can look through them both?

I like the DDR but also thought the hash marks on the FCR might come in handy for a reference point on hold off if the wind happens to catch you on a shot.

Between those two I'd prefer the FCR but I shoot F class with the MOAR and find it to be quite suitable to the challenge.

Hi
I have both and Im partial to the DDR-2 for my eyes but dont think you could go wrong with either one.

Cheers Trev.

You really need to try looking thru them both - at targets - at the distance you will be shooting at - before you buy. I use a DDR-2 and really like it over crosshairs (which I had a hard time seeing in heavy mirage). One of my shooting friends recently sold his DDR-2 and bought the FCR-1 and he likes the FCR-1 better. Personal choice but don't pop down $2400 before you look thru both. If you go to any F-Class match I'm sure you can find several people that will let you look thru their scopes.
