Nightforce reticle

If you are talking about the CH-3 reticle, it is the smallest floating center dot that NF ever made. Also, the crosshairs don't intersect, which makes being able to bracket the target a huge plus when the mirage is boiling.
No the CTR 3 on the competition model which is a straight traditional cross hair.
No big deal that’s what I order

the Competition model is 2fp and it seam that all Radicals have .016 lines and the ones with dots the dot is .095, looks like the CTR 3 is basically the old traditional crosshairs, very basic for simple minded people like me. Some here has stated the lines do not show up well against a black target, I’m not disagreeing but would think it would be hard to sell a scope that the lines disappear when looking at a black target. Anymore discussion on that?
I went out at 1 pm today and there was moderate boil at 530 yards using a 500 yard F class target. Both the NF FCR-1 and March 10-60 high master with MTR-5 reticle were set up on rifle rests and mats side by side. The NF glass was great, possibly a touch better than the HM.

You could make out target lines fairly well with both scopes at 35X but not at 50X. The target black in these conditions is dark grey. Both reticles were darker than the grey. The difference was the FCR-1 reticle lines took more time and mental effort to position within the jumping target black than the center dot of the MTR-5 reticle. Both of us doing the comparison agreed with this assessment. The fellow who brought the NF out to test decided he would sell this new Competition FCR-1 and buy the 10-60 HM with a MTR-5 reticle.
