Does anyone know what Nightforce currently charges to change a reticle in a scope?????

I tried calling, but it is Friday and they don`t have any phone hours today....

Phil.

It IS $300.00 dollars AND a minimum 4 week turnaround with a good possibility of making 6 weeks... I wanted one of the LAST CH3 crosshairs they had>>>But $300.00 and the wait>>>>not worth it to me!

I don`t know if the info is right, but as I know, Nightforce scopes are manufactured in Japan by http://www.light-op.co.jp/english/
When the scope is send to Japan to change the reticle, 4-6 weeks is not very long. It`s very fast.

And it`s always a good thing to have a second scope when one scope is in repair or to compare groups ;)

I beg to differ from the above comment. I was told by a NF Tech that the scope TUBES are made in Japan, as are the LENS'. But the scopes are assembled here in the USA, with internal parts from all over the world, including some parts made here also. I am not selling my BR's with the CH3 reticle anytime soon.

Ok. Than Nightforce will change reticles in the US so 4-6 weeks is understandable and absolute ok.

The CH3 reticle with the center dot is the best NF reticle. I don´t like reticles with center lines because they cover to much.

After reading the rules on Made in USA if they were made in the USA they would be stamped with that. Assembled in the USA is different than made. It seems for an Australian company they try very hard to make it seem like they are a fully made in USA company. Well they are not. I had not been to their site in a few years. I just went there today so I could include links. Back in the day the only scopes that had the made in the USA sticker was the compact scopes and the new F1 scopes. Now it does not seem like they are trying to draw attention to specific scopes and not putting it on any pages except the accessories. On the BEAST page there is a more info and they have it plastered there.

So it looks like most of the scopes are made in Japan. All but one of my scopes are marked made in japan. Only one of them are marked made in USA.

Wow , that's some price for a reticle change . The last time I changed one it was $60 . I shoot the R1 and R2 reticles . All perform great on target , out in the PD fields or on my coyote or big game rifle . I bought extra lens caps and turret caps years ago when they were inexpensive , I understand they're very expensive now and you have to verify your scope has a warranty registration , otherwise they will not work on it . It seems there are some fakes out there .

Yes it is high. I think it is out of line. Granted with a price like that it does prevent alot of them from comming in.
