Nightforce Competition FCR-1 reticle discontinued - why?

So, after someone told me on the range yesterday, I checked things out, and NF have discontinued what was (to me at least), the best reticle on the Competition scope. Anyone know why they did this? I was hoping to buy one with that reticle, looks like that isnt going to happen

I am puzzled by that too. I have a 2014 Comp with the FCR-1 and I bought it because I like it better than any of the other choices.

Oh well, I got mine.

Exactly. Its the only reticle they offer on that scope that I would consider buying. Drop all 3 of the others, no loss.

They are still out there (I.e. Don @ long range supply etc) but the rush may be on with this news.

That version was not selling well enough to justify keeping it in the line. I doubt there is any other reason.

I Emailed Nightforce last week about it, and still no response...

This is a mistake on the Nightforce website. Nightforce is working on the launch of their new website. The FCR-1 is not being discontinued. You will still be able to get the FCR-1 reticle.

The FCR-1 is NOT being discontinued. It is in fact our most popular reticle in the Competition 15-55x... so thank you all for the support with that scope!

Again, straight from the horses mouth, the FCR-1 is still active and will continue to be sold and supported by Nightforce Optics.

Sean, thank you very much for the response, I am very glad to hear this. I thought that reticle would be very popular, it is not surprising at all to me that it would be the best seller.

The website is still hosed though. Now instead of the FCR-1 being shown as discontinued, it is not shown at all.

Patience grasshopper. New websites have bugs and it takes a day or two to work them out.
